Roane County authorities took 46-year-old Arthur Alan Abston into custody early this morning for attempted murder and especially aggravated kidnapping. He was processed into the jail with an initial bond set at $450,000. Sheriff Jack Stockton told 105.7 News the incident took place Friday afternoon at a home in the South of the River area. A female victim sustained a gunshot wound allegedly by Abston to the hip/leg area and she was treated for non-life threatening injuries. She reportedly told law enforcement she was held against her will. The incident remains under investigation.
