ABSTON ARRESTED ON OUTSTANDING WARRANTS AFTER RESIDENTIAL FIRE

Cumberland County deputies and firefighters responded Saturday to the 1700 block of Junior Camp Road for a mobile home blaze. While in route, officers were notified by the brother of 52-year-old Michael Deangelo Abston of Monterey that Abston allegedly set the fire. A female on scene told deputies another male there reportedly saw Abston start the blaze. The same female stated she was in an argument with Abston when she left to go to a nearby house. When she returned a short time later, the mobile home was on fire. Abston told authorities he did not know what happened in the incident. Abston was arrested on outstanding warrants out of Overton County. The exact cause of the fire is under investigation.
