The Crossville Police Department minutes ago released the accident report of the crash at the corner of Lantana Road and Dunbar Road yesterday. That crash resulted in one killed and two injured. The report indicates a 2007 Chrysler PT Cruiser driven by 56-year-old Jeffrey David Newsome of Crossville was turning left at the intersection of Lantana Road onto Dunbar Road and went into the path of an oncoming 2013 Ford F-250 pickup operated by 58-year-old Gregory Keith Frazier of Crossville. The truck struck the Cruiser on the right passenger side at the intersection. Frazier was not hurt in the crash. Newsome was taken to Cumberland Medical Center for treatment of injuries. A passenger in Newsome’s vehicle, 66-year-old Brenda L. Norris of Crossville, passed away after efforts to stabilize her was unsuccessful. A third passenger in the Cruiser, 25-year-old Brandon W. Norris of Crossville, was flown to U.T. Medical Center for treatment of serious injuries sustained in the crash.
