A Crossville man is recovering after being accidentally shot. Deputies responded to the emergency room of Cumberland Medical Center yesterday where they say 32-year-old Ryan Gene Molthen of Crossville was cleaning a .40 caliber semi-automatic pistol. He told officers he took the gun apart but did not clean the barrel. He said when he re-assembled the weapon, he racked the slide a few times and pulled the trigger discharging one shot that went through his left hand. Molthen was treated for injuries sustained in the incident.
