ADVANCE AUTO PARTS THIEF TURNS HERSELF IN

On June 10, 2025, police responded to a theft at Advance Auto Parts in Crossville, TN. The store manager reported a blonde female, identified as Amanda Matheney, swapping price tags on expensive items and concealing others in a black bag.
She triggered the shoplifting alarm and fled in a black 2007 Lincoln MKZ toward I-40. The stolen items were valued at $290.95, with a possible total of $600-$800 pending inventory. Video evidence exists, but the manager needed time to retrieve it and confirm swapped items.
Officer Jeremy Beard signed a warrant for Matheney’s arrest for theft. On June 13, 2025, Matheney turned herself in at the Cumberland County Justice Center, where she was taken into custody and served the warrant.
