AGGRAVATED BURGLARY ON WESTEL LOOP
Yesterday at around 2:17 p.m., Deputies Devyne Templeton and Aidyn Smith were dispatched to Westel Loop for an aggravated burglary report. Upon arrival, they made contact with the owners of the residence who said their residence was broken into sometime between the evening of the 21st and the 24th.
One of the homeowners showed deputies the window on the rear side of their residence that the suspect climbed into. The screen covering the window was removed and lying on the ground beneath the window which was left open.
The other homeowner showed deputies a crowbar which he placed in his truck bed that he claims the suspect left. Deputy Templeton attempted to obtain fingerprints from the window of entry, but no fingerprints were located. Soon after this, the male homeowner mentioned he found a pair of latex gloves likely used to prevent obtaining fingerprints on the property which he also placed in his truck bed.
The homeowners said a Kobalt miter saw and stand, a water heater, various tools, a 30-gallon air compressor, and approximately three 40-foot copper pipes were stolen from their property.
The male homeowner said the Kobalt saw was approximately 550 dollars, the water heater was about 400 dollars, the tools were about 350 dollars, the 30-gallon air compressor was approximately 400 dollars, and the copper pipes were worth approximately 500 dollars.
The total value of items stolen is approximately 2,200 dollars.
The homeowners didn’t have cameras on the property and didn’t witness the burglary, so the suspect description is unknown as of the time of this report.
