AGGRAVATED BURGLARY REPORTED; WEAPONS, JEWELRY STOLEN

Sunday afternoon, a Cumberland County man returned to a Takesa Drive home to find his front door open – it had been shut and locked when he left two days earlier. Several weapons were stolen, including a green Cobra FS .380 caliber pistol, a Bersa Thunderstorm .380 caliber stainless-steel pistol and a stainless-steel Jennings .22 caliber pistol with black handles. Also stolen were a sterling silver diamond ring set, the title to a black 1994 Chevrolet Camaro and a black Sentry safe. Total value of the stolen items is approximately $670.

A neighbor’s surveillance cameras showed a woman driving a maroon Dodge Neon with a male front-seat passenger arriving at 3:48 Saturday afternoon and leaving five minutes later. Neither occupant of the home or the neighbor recognized the vehicle or the people inside.

There are no suspects identified at this time. An investigation into the theft is ongoing.
