ALICIA HARRIS NAMED VICE MAYOR OF HARRIMAN
During the Harriman City Council meeting Tuesday evening, councilwoman Alicia Harris received the nod from fellow council members to be named Harriman’s vice mayor for the next couple of years.
Harris is in her second year as a Harriman council representative and said she looks forward to being a representative for the city residents and will do her part as the city’s vice mayor.
Other items on the council’s agenda include the approval of spending around $12,000 to put new fencing around the playground and to extend the current fence for the safety of all the children there. The council also thanked everyone again who had a part in this year’s Labor Day festival, which was noted as one if not the best in the city.
