Lowe’s announced they will close all 1,751 stores nationwide on Easter Sunday, April 20, 2025, to give employees a paid day off.

Lowe’s typically closes on holidays like Thanksgiving and Christmas. Lowe’s follows in the footsteps of other retailers like JCPenney, Kohl’s, Macy’s, and Michaels, who also closed for Easter in 2024.

Easter often sees lower retail traffic due to its religious significance and slower pace.

Some chains like Walmart, CVS, and Trader Joe’s usually remain open on Easter.

Lowe’s will resume normal hours on April 21st.
