ALLEGED CREDIT CARD FRAUDSTER TO APPEAR IN CUMBERLAND COUNTY COURT TOMORROW

According to the Cumberland County General Sessions Court criminal docket and accompanying affidavits of complaint, Robert Jerome Thorn faces four charges of fraudulent use or illegal possession of a credit or debit card for amounts between $1,000 and $2,500.

Represented by a public defender, Thorn’s charges stem from a series of incidents on January 18, 2025, in Crossville, Tennessee. Law enforcement officials report that cards stolen from a Cracker Barrel location were used by Thorn and a co-defendant, Kachae Jackson, to make unauthorized purchases at local Staples and CVS stores.

The fraudulent transactions included an estimated total of over $3,070 using cards from one set of victims, alongside an additional $4,504.63 in unauthorized charges from a separate victim’s cards.

Surveillance footage captured a male and female subject executing the transactions, and the Cookeville Police Department later apprehended Thorn and Jackson while they were wearing the exact clothing seen on the security video.
