ALLEGED THREATS TO SHOOT AND BLOW UP CMC HOSPITAL LANDS BARR IN JAIL

A report from the Crossville Police Department states officers went to Cumberland Medical Center before sunrise yesterday for a disturbance. They encountered 32-year-old Joseph G. Barr who allegedly threatened to shoot the place. Barr apparently called 911 three times prior to the incident but would not identify what the emergency was. Emergency room staff informed law enforcement Barr made terroristic threats to “blow the (expletive) up” after he claimed to have multiple firearms in a vehicle in the parking lot. Barr was arrested and taken to jail.
