A house fire outside Rocky Top killed two people and injured one late Wednesday afternoon. Deputies and fire crews from the Medford, Briceville and Andersonville Volunteer Fire departments responded to a fire call on Scott Brogan Lane shortly after 5:30. When they arrived, the structure was fully engulfed.

One woman who escaped the fire was treated at the scene before being flown by Lifestar to UT Medical Center, where she is being treated in the Critical Care Unit.

Two bodies were found inside the home once firefighters were able to make entry. No identities were initially released, but authorities say all three people in the home were adults.

TBI and State Fire investigators were called in to assist the Anderson County Sheriff’s Department.
