An Anderson County man was killed last night in an accident on Clinton Highway. The Tennessee Highway Patrol says 86-year-old Fred Lay was driving east on Bull Run Road and turned onto Clinton Highway, into the path of a 2005 Chevy Trailblazer driven by 27-year-old Marissa McCormick. Lay was killed in the crash; McCormick was not hurt. Clinton Highway was closed at the crash scene for just over three hours.
