APPEAL HEARING SCHEDULED FOR TERMINATED OLIVER SPRINGS POLICE CHIEF
The Oliver Springs Town Council met last night in an executive session with their attorney to discuss the mayor’s termination of now former police chief Kenneth Morgan. He has served in that role for nearly 20 years and was let go late last week by Mayor Omer Cox on alleged violations including misleading records for a subordinate to get more pay that expected. An appeal hearing is now scheduled for Thursday, April 22, 2021 at 7 p.m. at town hall. The public can attend this. The council will consider the evidence and either affirm the decision or overturn it and reinstate Morgan.
