A Crossville couple decided to go out to dinner one Sunday evening around 6 PM. After leaving, the female alleged that she had a notification pop up on her phone that an Apple Airtag tracking device was nearby. The female was unsure what that meant. When they arrived at the restaurant to eat, she connected to the device and it started making a beeping noise. The female alleged the sound was coming from the toolbox in the back of her husband’s truck. She stated that they opened the toolbox and found a white round device that said “Apple Airtag”.

The woman did look up the Airtag through apple.com and provided authorities with a serial number and the last four digits of a phone number. The female seemed very worried someone was trying to track their vehicle to possibly steal it.

This is still under investigation.
