ARNOLD EXTRADITED BACK TO CUMBERLAND COUNTY TO FACE MURDER CHARGE

Thomas Mack Arnold, Sr., age 38, was extradited back to Cumberland County Saturday to face a first-degree murder charge. He was processed into the jail and his bond was initially set at $2 million dollars. His first court appearance is scheduled for this Thursday. Arnold stands accused of the fatal shooting of 63-year-old Billy Ray Jones at a residence on Christian Road on September 27. Arnold fled the scene and was stopped before sunrise the next day in south Georgia.

Court officials say Arnold has an extensive criminal history in Cumberland County dating back to 2000. He is from Jessup, Georgia. He has been arrested in the past for aggravated assault, felony evading arrest, resisting arrest, possession of a firearm while under the influence and numerous violation of probations.
