ARREST MADE IN CLEVELAND DOLLAR GENERAL ARMED ROBBERY

A Cleveland man has been arrested and jailed without bond following an armed robbery at a local Dollar General store last month.
According to the Bradley County Sheriff’s Office, the incident took place on August 23, 2026, at approximately 10:00 p.m. at the Dollar General located on Spring Place Road SE. The suspect targeted the store right at closing time, holding employees at gunpoint and demanding cash from the registers before fleeing.
Through investigative work, detectives identified Keionte Richards as the suspect and obtained an arrest warrant. On August 27, members of the Sheriff’s Office Fugitive Apprehension Team successfully located and took Richards into custody without incident.
Richards is currently being held at the Bradley County Jail without bond and faces multiple felony and misdemeanor charges, including:
  • Aggravated Robbery
  • Firearm Use in Association with Dangerous Felonies
  • Theft Under $1,000
  • Introduction of Contraband into a Penal Institution
  • Possession of Methamphetamine
Sheriff’s officials commended the swift response and collaborative efforts of the deputies, detectives, and the Fugitive Apprehension Team in resolving the case.
