ARSON ON POTATO FARM ROAD; TOO LATE TO STOP

On Friday last week, Corporal Norma Seiber with the Cumberland County Sheriff’s Office was dispatched to the area of Potato Farm Road for a structure fire and found a single-wide trailer engulfed in flames.

Seiber spoke with the homeowner who said he heard some noise coming from the direction of the trailer and when he looked at it, the trailer was already blazing. The homeowner tried to use a fire extinguisher, but it was too late. The owner said he had recently evicted someone from the residence but didn’t know if the tenant had any involvement.

The Cumberland County Fire Department did arrive but decided to let it burn due to the amount of damage already done.
