ATTEMPTED MURDER SUSPECT SENTENCED IN CUMBERLAND COUNTY CRIMINAL COURT

Andrew Nicholas Rich, age 30, was recently sentenced in Cumberland County Criminal County to 11 years to serve in prison after he discharged a shotgun at a residence in Fairfield Glade back in 2019. He fled the scene in a vehicle but was stopped on I-40 near the Peavine Road exit and the firearm was recovered. Rich, originally facing two counts of attempted murder and one count of aggravated burglary, accepted a plea deal to a single count of attempted second-degree murder. He was given credit for 561 days already served in jail awaiting the outcome of the case.
