Law enforcement in Fentress County responded to the area of Round Mountain Road and Commerce Drive yesterday to search for a jail escapee. As of last night, they continue to look for 35-year-old Charles Kennedy.

He, along with Casey Ridenour, escaped from the jail in Jamestown this past Monday. Ridenour was arrested late Monday night.

Kennedy is a Caucasian male standing 6’4″ and weighs 145 pounds. He has brown hair and eyes.

He originally is an inmate from Roane County being held by the Fentress County Sheriff’s Department on charges including theft, vandalism and burglary.

Officials urge residents to not approach Kennedy and call 911 to report his position. Kennedy is on the TBI 10 Most Wanted and a reward of $2,500 is offered for information leading to his capture.
