A traffic stop in Rockwood last night resulted in the arrest of a woman. Police pulled over 25-year-old Brianna Sue Baird of Rockwood at the old highway patrol post. A check revealed Baird was indicted by a Roane County Grand Jury last week for aggravated child neglect. A second subject, 32-year-old Thomas Matthew King of Rockwood, was named in the indictment as a co-defendant. Court papers state Baird and King stand accused of neglecting a child in January of this year as to affect the child’s health and welfare, and a controlled substance was allegedly used in the act. Baird was transported to the Roane County jail.
