BBB COMMUNICATIONS ANNOUNCER AARON HARVEY PASSES AWAY FOLLOWING CAR ACCIDENT
Our friends at BBB Communications have reported that a two-vehicle head-on collision on Friday evening has claimed the life of Aaron Harvey, a local man and longtime play-by-play announcer for BBB Communications.
The crash occurred shortly after 6:00 p.m. on Friday at the intersection of Pine Ridge Road and Ruritan Road in South Harriman. According to preliminary reports, one vehicle crossed the center line and struck the other head-on.
Harvey, the sole occupant of his vehicle, was initially transported to Tennova Turkey Creek Medical Center and later airlifted to UT Medical Center in Knoxville. He succumbed to his injuries at approximately 3:00 a.m. Saturday. At the time of the accident, Harvey was en route to call the Harriman-Rockwood high school football game.

Injuries: The two occupants of the second vehicle, Shannon and Caleb Hawn, sustained non-life-threatening injuries and were transported for medical care via ambulance and LifeStar.

Response: First responders from the Harriman Fire Department, local law enforcement, and multiple EMS units secured the scene, temporarily closing Pine Ridge Road.

Investigation: At the request of Harriman Police Chief Baron Tapp, the Tennessee Highway Patrol (THP) is leading the ongoing investigation.
BBB Communications released a statement mourning the loss of their colleague, remembering him for his dedication to bringing high school football to life for the community. The network asked the community to keep Harvey’s wife, Kelli, and his children, Ezra and Ava, in their thoughts and prayers during this difficult time.
