BILL SEEKS TO HAVE “IN GOD WE TRUST” PLACED PROMINENTLY IN ALL STATE SCHOOLS

A bill introduced by a Tennessee legislator could be paving the way to have the nation’s motto placed prominently in all schools. The bill seeks to have “In God We Trust” displayed in schools and reads,

“As introduced, enacts the ‘National Motto in the Classroom Act,’ which requires each local education agency to display the national motto, ‘In God We Trust,’ in a prominent location in each school.” – HB2368

It’s sponsored by Rep. Susan Lynn, R-Mt. Juliet, and has passed on first consideration.
