Billy F. McNure, age 82, of Rockwood passed away July 17th, 2020. He was from Swainsboro, Georgia. He was the oldest of two children. He married the love of his life at 25 and was a proud father of three children and a papaw to 7 grandchildren and 2 great grandchildren. After retiring from Alba Health in Rockwood, he spent most of his time playing his guitar and singing southern gospel music. He was a member of the Glory Road Quartet for 20+ years in Lemont, Illinois. Billy was a deacon and musician at Gateway Baptist Church where he was a member. He enjoyed entertaining patrons at the Rockwood McDonalds with his friends Wednesday nights. He is preceded in death by his parents: Willie & Thelma McNure; and his wife of 41 years: Naomi McNure. He is survived by his sister: Dianne Lindsey of Rockwood; children: Willie (Tina) McNure of Shelby, North Carolina, Rhonda Henderson of Rockwood, and Renee (Shannon) Settles of Fredericksburg, Virginia; grandchildren: Larissa Wilkerson, Reanna (Velichia) Henderson, Tyler (Nicole) McNure, Taylor (Carlton) Burt, Torie McNure, Bryce (Jacynth) Settles, and Lauren Settles; great-grandchildren: Brynnlee McNure, Grayson McNure, and Zarria Martin; any many nieces and nephews.  Visitation will be at Gateway Baptist Church in Rockwood Monday, July 20, 2020 from 4 until 6 p.m. with a service to follow. Interment will take place at 10 a.m. Tuesday, July 21, 2020 at Roane Memorial Gardens.
