Cumberland County deputies went to a home on Sequoia Drive in Lake Tansi this week for a wanted suspect. A check of 50-year-old John Christopher Blaine revealed an active warrant out of Muscogee County, Georgia for violation of the sex offender registry. Authorities there indicted they would extradite and placed a hold on Blaine. He was taken to the jail in Crossville. Officials say Blaine was placed on the registry after his conviction in Texas in late 2010 for aggravated sexual assault of a child and indecency with a minor.
