BLAIR FIREFIGHTER CRASHES ON OLD HARRIMAN HIGHWAY; INJURIES NON-LIFE-THREATENING
Just after 5 p.m. on Wednesday, the Blair Volunteer Fire Department reported that one of their fire engines crashed in the 2500 block of Old Harriman Highway near Charles Butler Lane, around 5:15 p.m. The driver, who was the only person in the truck, was transported to a nearby hospital by Anderson County Ambulance with injuries that were not believed to be life-threatening.
The roadway was closed to through traffic near the scene initially for the investigation and later to allow a wrecker to recover the vehicle and return it to the roadway. No other vehicles were involved in the incident. The Tennessee Highway Patrol (THP) is handling the crash report.
