A Bledsoe County child is recovering after receiving burns on 40 percent of his body while helping his father build a fire. Officers say the accident happened at a Porch Rock Road residence in Pikeville when 6-year-old Cyrus Gray was injured after cardboard boxes were put on top of a fire. Cyrus was scheduled to receive skin grafts on his arm and hand over this past weekend. Officials say he has a long road to recovery but could be back home in Pikeville as early as this week.
