BODY OF WOMAN FOUND BY DEER HUNTER
The Hawkins County Sheriff’s Department says a body was found yesterday (Friday, November 24, 2017) by a deer hunter. The human remains were found off of East Pumpkin Valley Road in a remote area. Upon arrival, sheriff’s deputies and first responders found the body of a decomposed female lying in a creek. Officers say there were no visible signs of injury or trauma and it is believed she had been there for up to two months. The victim had a tattoo on one of her forearms and appeared to have blonde or brown hair. She was taken to ETSU Division of Forensic Pathology for autopsy and identification.
