The Cumberland Co BOE met tonight and voted to not renew Director of Schools Billy Stepps contract.  Details are sketchy right now but according to witnesses there was no true legitimate reason given for the release of Stepp.  Stepp has been viewed as an excellent Directors of Schools for Cumberland county by many local civic leaders, teacher and students.  We will have more details in the coming days.
