BOMB THREATS FOUND IN DOLLAR GENERAL MARKET AISLES, SCHOOLS UNDER LOCKDOWN

UPDATE:

The Crossville Police Department has issued a press release with more information. Below is the press release:

CROSSVILLE, TN – On the morning of Friday, August 22, 2025 the Crossville Police Department received information that several notes were found in the Dollar General Market, 1259 Miller Ave. 104, Crossville, TN 38555. The notes were threatening to “blow up” the building today (8/22/2025). Emergency response was made by the Crossville Police and Fire Departments, and notifications to the State Bomb Squad were requested through Cumberland County Emergency Communications and TEMA was also notified.

Area schools, including Martin Elementary, Cumberland County High School and Phoenix School were all put on a Soft Lockdown, due to their proximity to the Dollar General Market. This is to ensure that no students leave the campus to visit the nearby market until it is cleared.

Once the Dollar General Market has been cleared and no further danger is suspected, all schools will lift their lockdowns. At this time, no injuries have been reported and no devices have been located.

Any further information will be released as it is available and prudent.
