BRACHAE YOUNG CONTINUES FAMILY LEGACY, SIGNS AS FEATURED TWIRLER FOR UNIVERSITY OF MIAMI
A proud local twirling legacy is making its way to the collegiate stage. Brachae Young, originally from Crossville and a former Cookeville High School star, has officially signed with the University of Miami to serve as their featured twirler for the next four years.
Brachae is the daughter of Bo Young and carries a rich family heritage in the sport. Her grandmother, Era Wheeler Young, along with her great-aunts Betsy Swafford, Linda Thompson, and Valerie Calcagano—all of Crossville—paved the way with years of celebrated twirling performances.
Family and community members alike are celebrating the milestone, as Brachae steps onto the national stage to carry on a cherished multi-generational tradition.
