BREAKING NEWS – ADAMS FOUND GUILTY OF THE MURDER AND RAPE OF HOLLY BOBO

BREAKING NEWS – Minutes ago (5 pm central Friday, September 22, 2017), a jury found Zachary Adams guilty on all eight counts of the first-degree murder and aggravated rape of 20-year-old Holly Bobo. The trial started Monday (September 11, 2017). Bobo went missing from the backyard of her parent’s home in Decatur County in April 2011. Massive searches failed to turn up any trace of her. In 2014, the TBI announced Bobo’s skull was found in the woods in the northern part of Decatur County. The trial was held in Hardin County, not in Decatur County where Bobo went missing. The jury deliberated for 11 hours before coming back with the unanimous guilty verdict for the following counts:

COUNT 1 – GUILTY
First Degree Murder – During Perpetration of Kidnapping
COUNT 2 – GUILTY
Especially Aggravated Kidnapping – Using a Deadly Weapon
COUNT 3 – GUILTY
Especially Aggravated Kidnapping – Resulting in Serious Bodily Injury
COUNT 4 – GUILTY
First Degree Murder – During Perpetration of Rape
COUNT 5 – GUILTY
Aggravated Rape – Use of Force While Armed with a Weapon
COUNT 6 – GUILTY
Aggravated Rape – Resulting in Bodily Injury
COUNT 7 – GUILTY
Aggravated Rape – Use of Force While Aided or Abetted by Others
COUNT 8 – GUILTY
First Degree Murder – Premeditated

With the guilty verdict, the jury now will go into the penalty phase of the trial to determine Adams sentence of death or life in prison without parole. That phase is expected to start tomorrow.
