BREAKING NEWS – CUMBERLAND COUNTY RESCUE SQUAD AND FIRST RESPONDERS GO TO OZONE FALLS FOR RESCUE
(BREAKING NEWS) – The Cumberland County Rescue Squad, with help from rangers from Cumberland Mountain State Park, Crossville Fire Department, Cumberland County Sheriff’s Department and Tennessee Highway Patrol responded to Ozone Falls this afternoon.
Authorities said a male patient broke his ankle at the bottom of the walking trail near the base of the waterfall. The rescue squad deployed a 400′ low angle rope system and another 200′ low angle rope system to get the patient from the bottom to the top. At 2:30 p.m. central, the patient was topside and in care of medics. His identity was not initially released.
