BREAKING NEWS – CUMBERLAND COUNTY SCHOOL BOARD MODIFIES WEARING OF FACE COVERING FOR STUDENTS
BREAKING NEWS – In their regular meeting tonight, the Cumberland County Board of Education modified a decision they made in a special called session Tuesday night mandating the wearing of face coverings in schools by students during the COVID-19 pandemic.
The motion passed minutes ago now states students, school employees and teachers will only wear face coverings when social distancing can not be maintained or situation discretion is appropriate. If a student has a medical condition, such as breathing problems, they would be exempt from wearing a mask.
The board considered delaying the start of school for a week or two but that was not voted on in tonight’s meeting.
