(BREAKING NEWS) – JOSEPH DANIELS GUILTY OF MURDER OF JOE CLYDE DANIELS
(BREAKING NEWS) – A jury reached a verdict today in the murder trial of Joseph Daniels. He was found guilty of second-degree murder, first-degree murder in perpetration of a felony, aggravated child abuse, initiating a false report, and tampering with evidence. The jury went into deliberations around 2 p.m. central yesterday. They requested to re-watch part of Joseph Daniels’ confession tape at 6 p.m. and then adjourned just before 8:30 p.m. The jury reconvened at 9 a.m. central this morning and reached a decision a few hours later. Daniels was accused of killing his son, 5-year-old Joe Clyde Daniels, in April 2018 in Dickson County, Tennessee and getting rid of his body, which has not been found.
Joe Clyde had autism and was nonverbal, but was remembered by teachers and friends as a very funny and energetic boy.
Joseph Daniels is scheduled to be sentenced on the charges September 14, 2021. He will remain in custody at Riverbend Maximum Security Prison in Nashville.
His wife, Krystal Daniels, witnessed the incident, but did not act to help Joe Clyde. She is charged with aggravated child abuse and neglect and will go to trial at a later date that has not been determined.
