BREAKING NEWS: ROANE FIRE DEPT. TRUCK STRIKES LIFESTAR HELICOPTER

BBBTV12 – ROANE COUNTY, Tenn. — Emergency responders are dealing with a serious situation in South Roane County after a fire department vehicle accidentally struck a Lifestar medical helicopter just moments ago.
Roane County EMS was forced to quickly transport a patient via ground ambulance, with members of the Lifestar flight crew on board, after the helicopter was disabled due to the incident.
According to early reports, a Ford Explorer associated with the South Roane County Fire Department somehow rolled into the front of the Lifestar helicopter while it was on the ground. The impact reportedly busted out the helicopter’s front windshield and caused visible damage to the side of the aircraft.
The exact cause of the crash is still under investigation. It is not immediately clear whether the vehicle was left unsecured or if there was a mechanical failure.
