BREAKING NEWS: SUSPECT AT LARGE AFTER DEADLY LOUDON COUNTY SHOOTING

A suspect is still at large following a deadly shooting, the Loudon County Sheriff’s Office reports. Authorities say 26-year-old David T. Miles is on the loose and should be considered armed and dangerous. He was last seen driving a grey 2010 Ford Fusion with Tennessee license plate M89-61B.

Miles is believed to be armed with both a 9mm handgun and a shotgun.

The sheriff’s office responded to reports of shots fired at a Lee Hi Street home in Lenoir City at 8:16 a.m. Eastern Time. They found a man dead from apparent gunshot wounds. The victim’s identity has not been released.

Deputies say Miles has family in Loudon County, as well as ties to Knox County; therefore, the Knox County Sheriff’s Office is assisting in the search.

Schools in the vicinity of the shooting have been placed on precautionary lockdown until Miles is in custody.

Anyone with information about Miles, his whereabouts or his vehicle is asked to call the Loudon County E911 Center at (865) 458-9081.
