BROWN ARRESTED ON MULTIPLE CHARGES AFTER TRAFFIC STOP

Tuesday evening, Cumberland County deputies performed a traffic stop at the driveway of a home on Benefit Road. The resident, 30-year-old Ricky Lyle Brown, who was driving, gave consent to search the vehicle. Deputies found a large orange pill identified as oxymorphone hydrochloride (opana).

Brown also said he had a syringe in his pocket, with which he admitted injecting pills.

Brown, who had an outstanding warrant for failure to appear, was arrested and additionally charged with simple possession of a Schedule II drug, unlawful possession of drug paraphernalia and driving on a revoked license. He was placed under $2,000 bond and is due in court tomorrow.
