BRUSH FIRE IN ROANE COUNTY TEMPORARILY CLOSED ROAD TUESDAY EVENING

Roane County, TN-  Several fire department agencies responded to an out-of-control brush and wood fire along Bluff Road just after 5:00 Tuesday afternoon. Upon arrival, they noticed quite a bit of fire along the hillside. Bluff Road was partially shut down during the fight of the fire which was extinguished. However, a couple of hours later, dispatch sent units back to the scene after a tree reportedly was still on fire. No injuries were reported.

Burn permits are required from the Tennessee Division of Forestry from October 15, 2022, to May 15, 2023, for debris piles in areas without local restrictions.
