BURGLARY FROM AUTO AT LOCAL FLEA MARKET
On May 10, 2025, Deputy Elijah Tollett responded to a theft report on Highway 70 North in Crossville. The victim, a 72-year-old resident of Red Boiling Springs, reported her purse stolen from her 2018 Nissan Rogue between 11:00 AM and 12:30 PM at a flea market.
The stolen items included a white/beige purse ($30), Tennessee driver’s license, Discover credit card, health insurance cards, and a checkbook.
Two fraudulent charges were made on the Discover card: one at Kroger gas pumps and another for a $56 gift card.
No suspects were identified, and no witnesses or camera footage were available at the flea market. Kroger management was contacted for potential surveillance footage, with follow-up planned for May 11.
The case involves charges of auto burglary and credit card fraud, with no known suspects at the time of the report.
