BURNETTE ST. RESIDENT FACES DRUG CHARGES AFTER POLICE FOLLOWUP ON TIP

A Crossville resident was charged with manufacture, delivery, sale of a controlled substance this past week. Police investigated a report of drug activity at a Burnette St. apartment. 58-year-old Jeffrey Alan Willis answered the door to allow officers inside, When Willis was questioned about drugs being on the scene, he told them he “had some pipes and marijuana in a box.” The box, which was found on a bed, contained a clear bag with pot, along with a metal pipe. Four additional pipes and eleven syringes were also found in a dresser. A crystal substance in a clear bag was discovered on the top of the dresser. Willis confessed to police that it was meth. Willis was also charged with simple possession and possession of drug paraphernalia.
