BUTCH JONES OUT; BRADY HOKE MADE INTERIM UT HEAD FOOTBALL COACH

Butch Jones has officially been fired as UT head football coach and the search for a replacement is underway! Saturday sound defeat of the Vols by Missouri of 50-17 was the straw that broke the camel’s back but it was something that was in the wind before that. Athletic Director of the university John Currie held a press conference Sunday and made the announcement. Former Michigan head coach Brady Hoke has been tapped as UT’s interim head coach as the Vols try and salvage wins against LSU and Vanderbilt in order to become bowl eligible. At the news conference, Currie said Hoke was chosen based on performance, his passion for student athletes and “selflessness.”
