CALIFORNIA MAN INJURED IN CUMBERLAND COUNTY I-40 CRASH
On October 10, 2025, at 4:41 AM, a single-vehicle crash occurred on I-40 East at mile marker 320 in Cumberland County.
The vehicle, a 1997 Ford F150, was driven by Robert Edward Wiseman, a 48-year-old from California. Wiseman, who was wearing a seat belt, was injured in the incident and required extraction by rescue teams after his vehicle veered off the right side of the roadway, entered the woods, and struck a tree, coming to a final rest.
No charges have been filed pending the outcome of the investigation, and no additional vehicles or passengers were reported in the incident.
