A vehicle accident on I-40 in Cumberland County last Friday resulted in traffic backups. Troopers indicate a 2020 Chevrolet 2500 pickup driven by 73-year-old Charles Broadway of Cherryvale, Kansas was traveling west at the 331 mile marker and came upon another automobile too fast in a curve. Broadway lost control, hit a guardrail, and came back on the roadway. A camper he was pulling turned over on its side blocking both lanes. No injuries were noted in the crash. Broadway was charged with failure to exercise due care.
