CANDICE KIRBY FACES COURT AFTER ALLEGED FOUR-WHEELER PURSUIT

Candice Nachea Kirby, 36, is scheduled to appear in the Cumberland County General Sessions Criminal Court on August 20, 2026, to face a series of charges stemming from a pursuit earlier this year.

According to the Cumberland County Sheriff’s Office, the incident unfolded on the evening of April 28, 2026, when Deputy Breanna Freeman attempted to pull over a black four-wheeler operated by Kirby on Glade Creek in Crossville, Tennessee. The vehicle was reportedly being driven without functional tail lights.

Summary of Charges & Incident

  • Evading Arrest & Drug Paraphernalia: Deputy Freeman reported that Kirby failed to yield to emergency lights and sirens, gesturing over her shoulder instead. The pursuit concluded when the deputy successfully blocked the four-wheeler’s path near a dirt trail. Following a combative arrest, a search of a bag on the vehicle revealed drug paraphernalia, including pipes with burnt residue and straws containing a white crystallized substance.

  • Driving on Suspended License & Resisting Arrest: In addition to the April traffic pursuit charges filed by Deputy Freeman, court records show prior charges filed by Officer Ethan Wilson on February 24, 2026, for driving with a suspended license and resisting stop, arrest, or search.

Kirby’s upcoming court appearance on August 20, 2026, will address the accumulated docket of charges.
