Cumberland County deputies were dispatched to a residence earlier this month for a possible theft. When they arrived they spoke with the victim’s caretaker who told deputies she noticed that people are taking the victim’s checks, forging his name, and cashing the checks. She made a list of all the people who have been cashing checks. The checks have all been cashed between 1/01/23 and 1/31/23 and the total combined was $17,322.82.

The caretaker made a list of all the names with the amount cashed to them from the victim. She also stated there were several firearms missing as well.

This case is currently under investigation.
