Carson Gentry, 93
Funeral Services for Carson Gentry, age 93, of Monterey, Tennessee, will be conducted on Saturday, February 1, 2025, at 1:00 PM from The Chapel of Goff Funeral Home. Bro. Butch Stapleton will officiate with interment to follow in the Ray Cemetery with Full Military Honors Provided by the Veterans Honor Guard. Mr. Gentry was born on Monday, July 20, 1931, in Monterey, Tennessee, to the late Marion Washington “Min” and Bertha Buckner Gentry. Mr. Gentry passed away on Tuesday, January 28, 2025, at Pickett Care and Rehabilitation Center. Mr. Gentry was a self-employed Painter always considering himself as an “Interior Decorator.” He was a member of Woodcliff Baptist Church where he served many years as song leader and was always involved with activities and helping with Vacation Bible School. He was a United States Army Korean War Veteran. He is survived by his granddaughter, Brittany Gentry-Phillips and husband, John Phillips of Cookeville, TN; daughter-in-law, Tammy Gentry of Rickman, TN; great grandchildren, Jayden, Aaliyah, and Kinsley Phillips. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Fannie Smith Gentry; son, Tim Gentry; sisters, Lou Ella Gentry and Etta Qualls; twin brother, Marson Gentry; brothers, Earl Gentry, E.E. “Jeff” Gentry, Ernest Gentry, Billy Elbert Gentry, and James “Mousie” Gentry. The family will receive friends at Goff Funeral Home on Saturday, February 1, 2025, from 12:00 PM until time of services at 1:00 PM. Arrangements and Care provided by D.M.
