Earlier today according to the Rockwood Police Department chief whom we spoke with this afternoon, a gunshot victim was receiving treatment at the Roane Medical Center this morning following allegedly a self-inflicted wound to the leg area from a gun while riding in a vehicle on Gateway Ave.

Chief Kelly Pittman stated their officers went to the hospital to report after the unidentified victim was taken to the main ambulance station in midtown before being transported to the hospital for treatment. According to the Rockwood police chief, it was listed as an accidental shooting.
