CASH SCAM RESULTS IN $300 LOSS AT CROSSVILLE WALMART

On September 2, 2025, at approximately 11:37 AM, Officer Colten Johns spoke with a representative at Walmart regarding a theft that occurred on August 30, 2025, between 4:48 PM and 4:54 PM.
The primary suspect, described as a bald Black male with a grey goatee, wearing glasses, a white shirt, and khaki pants, allegedly stole $300 from a Walmart register by executing a cash scam. Using deceptive communication skills, he tricked the cashier into returning more money than he was owed.
A second individual, a heavier-set Black male wearing a large gold cross necklace, a black shirt, shorts, and a black Chicago White Sox flat-billed hat, was believed to be acting as a lookout. Both individuals left the store at 4:54 PM and fled the property in a 2022 gray Cadillac SRX, heading south on Main Street.
No charges have been filed at this time.
