The Whitley County, Kentucky, Sheriff’s Department is investigating a cemetery vandalism yesterday afternoon in the Gatliff community after 25-30 grave markers were knocked over or broken. Officers responded to the Rose Creek Cemetery after the caretakers discovered the vandalism. Anybody with information about this crime is asked to call Whitley County E911 at (606) 549-6017 and ask to speak with Deputy Prewitt. The sheriff’s office says all tips will be aggressively pursued and callers may remain anonymous.
